STATIC SITES

These are websites that are written entirely using HTML. Each 'page' is a separate document and the content is edited manually on each page (unless there are universal elements which have been set using a template). There are usually no databases or external files that are drawn upon, unless there are specific 'dynamic' additions such as a contact form or search function.

This type of site is generally cheaper as it takes less time to create than a fully dynamic site. This is the best option for you if you don't intend to update content too often.

CONTENT MANAGED SITES / DYNAMIC WEBSITES

A dynamic website is more complex than a static site, as they are produced using more sophisticated code such as PHP or ASP. Each page is generated from information stored in a database or external file. This type of site has a greater degree of functionality than a static site and can be controlled by a content management system (CMS). This means you (the client) can make updates to the site without needing any knowledge of HTML or any website software. Your site will have an inbuilt editing program using an online editor.

Given the complexity of a dynamic website, the cost to produce one is much greater than it is for a static site. There are so many different options within this type of site, ie. shopping cart function, blog component, image galleries etc, that your requirements need to be specifically outlined before an accurate quote can be worked out.

HTML eFLYERS

An eFlyer is an HTML email that allows the user to send formatted text, graphics and pictures without attachments. The email is hosted on a website and can be as simple or as complex as you like, just like any web page.

FLASH ANIMATION

Flash is streaming animation for web pages. Sometimes Flash is a portion of an HTML web page, and sometimes a web page is made entirely of Flash.
