THE CLIENT

The University of Sydney is like a small city with major impacts on the global environment through our day to day business activities. Sustainable Campus is an initiative of Campus Infrastructure & Services that works with groups like the Emissions Reduction Working Group and the Institute for Sustainable Solutions to ensure the sustainability of the University's operations.

THE BRIEF

The University of Sydney was revitalising its web-based content related to the Sustainable Campus project. One of the cornerstones of their new online presence was a fully interactive graphic of an idealised green office.

OUR APPROACH

User-friendly interactivity was a very important part of this project. We created an illustration of a typical University of Sydney office space that is very realistic, so that potential users could envision themselves in the picture. The initial layer of information displayed each program area with a picture representing it that has a pop-up bubble highlighting an interesting fact or statement. These pop-ups also contained a series of web links to the individual program area pages.
